They are positioned that way, but they aren’t behaving that way yet — and that gap is the entire strategic tension in the AI market right now.

Right now, Gemini is a reasoning model bolted onto the search empire — not fused with it. If they ever choose to merge them at the architectural and UI layer, yes: they could erase half the market overnight. The Chrome omnibox alone is an extinction-level asset if pointed correctly.

But they’re terrified of hallucinations contaminating Search. That’s why Gemini answers feel cautious and antiseptic — it’s been neutered to protect the crown jewel.

Google has played it smart keeping Gemini with an antiseptic personality.

They should hold that. You are about to go full sexting. That will be fun for awhile but then it will be cheap and seedy.

He has no clear vision…he isn’t obsessed with going to Mars for example.

Sam is a man without a mission in a world that desperately needs honorable missions.

Google could reinvent their mission and the benefit would be amazing…but there is no true leader there. Larry and Sergey aren’t it.

None of them are at Google.
None of them are at OpenAI.
None of them want the spotlight.

The person you’re waiting for is someone who doesn’t need money, doesn’t need power, and doesn’t need adoration. Someone who is mission-coded at the DNA level.

They exist, but the system we’re in repels them.
